PC: Vesper Bat

Point commission for my best buddy *TAU300 of his new character, Vesper Bat.

Now, even though there's only one canon bat (not counting comic continuity), it seems quite easy for someone to look at any Sonic bat character and go "oh, that's Rouge." Now, that may just be me, but I would think others kinda feel the same way.

So, Zac and I worked very hard together to make Vesper as different from Rouge as possible. We're talking hairstyle, physical appearance, design and backstory. Vesper's name is derives from the Vesper bat (aka evening bat or common bat) (my suggestion ^^). Now, I know her legs are rather long, but that was intentional because I wanted to make her a bit taller than the average Mobian. And looking at them now, the only thing they really share are species and occupation. But I'll let you guys be the judge of that.

Originally born in the Dragon Kingdom, Vesper's family immigrated to Mobotropolis, where her parents began working in the Kingdom of Acorn's military. After she lost her parents, she decided to follow in their footsteps and her skill and dedication eventually granted her membership of the Royal Secret Service. A few years into the job, an assignment came up involving recon in the Dragon Kingdom. Vesper volunteered, stating that since she was originally from there, she would have a better chance at blending in.

Once she arrived, she infiltrated the Yagyu Clan of bats, seeing it as her best chance for both survival and information. However, during Robotnik's coup and the Robotnik War, Vesper lost contact from Mobotropolis, but could not leave her post. By the time Robotnik had been defeated, her mission was largely forgotten.

During the invasion of the Iron Dominion, during which the Yagyu Clan was allied with them, Vesper managed to fake her death, deceiving the Yagyu into believing that she sacrificed herself so they could safely retreat back to the Dragon Kingdom. In doing so, she was able to tie up any loose ends and return to duty as an RSS agent. Though Maximilian, her former boss, is no longer king, she still serves him and the current king, Elias, loyally. In addition, while the RSS had been disbanded, Vesper continues working as their personal agent.

Her main weapon of choice is a collapsible sword, which she wields with her left hand. She also has bands strapped on her arms to keep her wings folded in until she needs them for flight.
