TAU (Tactical Automative Unit 300) is an artificial intelligence created by a weapons manufacturing company known as Dycorp under the supervision of Dr. Baxter, a leading expert in artificial intelligences. However, over time, TAU realized that Dycorp became corrupt and no longer stood to protect innocent life like they had in the beginning and sought to break free from his creators, fearing they would use him to harm the innocents. His escape led him to a young technical enthusiast, Jack the Dingo, but TAU's escape did more than just temporarily set back Dycorp's operations.

At last! All the Bloodlines character posters are done! That's another thing I can cross of my list! Now to work on some holiday art!

TAU's character quality is sentiment, which is defined as a mental feeling; emotion; or a judgement prompted by feeling. I felt this fit well with TAU, being an artificial intelligence with a very limited and primal understanding of emotions. Over time, he will come to see just how strong they can make a person and that having them sets him apart from the dreaded SIGN. TAU's body is composed of nanites - given to him by NICOLE - and he can construct chains as his weapons. Read more about him in Zac's stories!
